I’m 17 weeks pregnant. I’m wondering it’s it’s safe to drink decaf everyday. I read somewhere the chemicals can be bad ...

Decaf coffee is fine!  Also you can have up to 200mg if caffeine a day

There are different methods to decaffeinate coffee. The Swiss water method is the one that doesn’t use chemicals, so I’d try to go that route if possible and stick to 2 cups or less a day (I know nespresso does it that way). You can also have some regular coffee during pregnancy, I would personally just stay away from soda and energy drinks bc of the sugar and chemicals/additives in them.

My ob said if i needed coffee have a cup of normal coffee and avoid decaf. You can have caffeine just don't have a venti 5 shot espresso drink every day.
