I need some advice ladies. Today I should be nine weeks pregnant. For the last two days I’ve been feeling like crap. I’ve had a horrible migraine that hasn’t gone away, bad cramps and now a little spotting. I called my doctor today, letting her know how I was feeling. She had my go to the hospital to get an ultrasound done. This is my second pregnancy so I’m familiar with ultrasounds. As they were doing the ultrasound, I couldn’t find the baby on the screen. They ended up doing a vaginal ultrasound to see everything more clearly. Mind you, they wouldn’t tell me if my baby was ok or where it was because it clearly wasn’t there. They had two girls do the ultrasound. Both were acting weird. At this point they moved the screen where I couldn’t see because I was asking a lot of questions. The two girls said they couldn’t tell me anything, that they needed to get the doctor. The doctor comes in, looks at the ground then looks at me. Long story short, my baby isn’t measuring at 9 weeks, it’s measuring at 6 with no heart beat. I then say, “at six weeks you can see a heart beat on a ultrasound.” She looks back down at her feet then to me and goes, “you’re right, this is a very big concern. It means your baby either stopped growing or you’re not as far a long as you thought you were. You’re going to need to come back in a week. If there’s no heart beat, you’re baby is done growing and we will go from there.” At this point I’m a mess! I’m still a mess! Has anyone gone through this? Is there hope?
