Do other people do this?

My husband met me for lunch out today. He said a co-worker asked him to bring her lunch. I figured that meant she gave him money...nope, she just asked for lunch, and he paid for it! This is definitely not the first time it’s happened. His other co-workers do things like that too. He doesn’t ever do that without paying them, so it’s not like it’s a pay back thing. He has also bought co-workers’ drinks (sodas, tea, etc) several times because they don’t give him enough money, so he just pays the rest of it. This is kind of irritating to me! I feel like people know how much drinks from the 2 convenient stores we have are and should pay appropriately.

I know this is an issue I need to talk further with him about (we have talked before, but he continues to do it), but does this seem reasonable to other people? Do you expect others to pay for your drinks and meals?

He does sometimes get small treats for co-workers who go above and beyond for him, I get that. But to just ask someone to get you something and not give them money seems weird to me.
