How is your husband handling pregnancy?

First off I have an amazing husband BUT! He’s been acting a bit selfish since we found out we’re expecting. He has spent so much on a man cave, new couch, squat rack, tv, grill and now he’s shopping for a new car?! Is this his way of nesting? It’s driving me nuts and makes me feel like he is not excited for our baby girl. Is he freaking out? I don’t know what to make of it.

Girl I would talk to him. He may be freaking a bit. My hubby is not doing that at all. We are spending all the money on doctors bills and baby room. I would be pissed if he was spending on this shit!

Mine doesn't want to hear about him and gets annoyed when I'm talking about how excited I am to meet him. He's like enjoy your last bit of freedom but it's not the only thing he wants to talk about...

My fiancè is really excited and loves talking about her and knowing what's going on with her growth and he talks about setting money aside one week to get things and his plans for the nursery but he hasn't actually gotten to it. I think it's just the fact that he's not carrying the baby and doesn't realize how close we are to her arrival. I would definitely let your husband know that you need his priorities to be laser focused on the baby right now to help reduce your stress/anxiety. That helped for me

Woman are more excited we are mom's a soon as he know our little one is inside us. For me. It's the opposite, they are dad when they see and hold the baby.

Lol- my husband it way more excited than I am. He’s so ready to be a dad. He’s also taking care of me which is great since work has been grueling at 60 hrs per week. He’s making sure I sleep, eat and all... he’s been great. He’s just annoyed I didn’t get the Thule stroller - I don’t want two, we live in a urban area and I can’t runnwith her til she’s 1 anyway- but he really wanted it. I might get him a slightly used one or just buy one new. I kind of feel he deserves it.
That being said- his Christmas present was a 65”tv ... he already what he wanted and apartment living doesn’t allow for man caves

Mines handling it awesome. He knew/had full confidence this baby was viable way before I did. He’s been a champ and my greatest support. Him and my three kids pamper me and treat me like a queen.

My husband is spending all his money towards the trailer since we are moving soon and he wants to get that way. I feel like that's how some men or women nest. They spend money now on what they want before the baby comes. Once your kid arrives it's less about you and more about your child and what they need.

Not married but my boyfriend has been very excited since the beginning. He works, I've been at home since 20 weeks and I handle the bills and budget since he isn't great with money so he doesn't have too much of an option to go crazy with spending plus he knows we need to save the money for the baby, a new car, and moving into our new place.
