Overstaying their welcome?
I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but hopefully someone can give me some feedback.
In August my husband and I let a 47yr old mom and 10 yr old daughter move into our house (she said it would be 1-2 months maximum) they are part of a car club we are in and knew them previously. She is going thru a rough divorce and her ex refuses to give her money so she and her daughter have no food. They live off of ramen and sunflower seeds. We buy groceries all the time and have welcomed them to eat our food (especially he child!! Never want to see a child go hungry) the mom barely eats... She looks like she's deteriorating and is so skinny. When she gets home for the day she goes right up to her room and doesn't come down. Well today I couldn't find my dog and ended up finding the dog in her room eating her sunflower seeds. The room was a mess. food crumbs, plates, cups and sunflower seeds on the floor .. Starting to look like a hoarding situation and I am really worried about getting bugs. I just found out I was pregnant and want to start making a baby room but her and her daughter are taking over our spare rooms. They don't pay rent or help with any bills because of their situation. I am starting to get sick of housing them... We don't have a lot of money either and the electricity and water etc is all on us. The other day she handed us $10 and that has been it for the last month . I just don't know what to do. I'm torn/conflicted cus I know they are in a bad spot but we can't continue to house them much longer.. What do I do?!
