Do you wash the inside of your vagina??

I just saw a post that someone made stating they wash the inside of their vagina with water but I thought you weren't supposed to wash the inside at all? Like I neverrrr wash the actual inside since I thought it was self cleaning. Are you supposed to wash the inside even with water? Cuz I never do.. 🤔

No. No douching. The vagins is self cleaning. Thats why we have periods. You only clean the outside skin. Labia majora and minora.

I only clean the outside with a mild soap. The inside of the vagina is self cleaning (hence discharge) so there’s no need for even water inside.

Anyone who votes yes is totally misinformed.... it’s is self cleaning and needs some good bacteria to keep it good.... they probably smell and something else is going on if they wash the inside.....

That would basically be considered douching, which wipes out all of the good bacteria in your vagina that help it to self clean, like you said. It's not necessary or good for you.

No. The ones that said yes are completely misinformed and if they haven't had issues extremely lucky as it takes out all the good bacteria. Not to mention there isnt actually skin there to protect it. You should not douch. And if your confused talk to an OBGYN they'll tell you the same thing. My OB said she was shocked mine is as healthy as it is because she sees so many women do it that there are usually problems whether they notice it or not. She was completely ready to lecture me about it 😂

I 100% always clean out my vag with water every time I shower. Cant tell you the last time I have had any problems
