Out and about yet?

How long did you all wait to get your newborns out and about?? The doctor says 6 weeks but I’ve noticed everyone does their own thing... I’m curious...

I was right away but I was a single mum with no help.  Groceries needed buying as well as other things.  This time, we’ll see.  I’m used to working so sitting home for six weeks sounds like complete hell to me.

I couldn’t stand to be cooped up in the house, and my girl is great in her car seat. Once I had my 2 week doctors appointment (and they said my c-section incision was healing properly, I could drive, etc), I would take her out almost every day! It was always small stuff like a trip to the grocery store, or just a drive around, but it was something to break up the day!

i think it all depends on situation. I’m a single mom but I also have to go to school so for taking my baby from point A to Point B. Probably like at 4 weeks. But out out as in taking him out for hours at a time or while running errands i’m going to try to hold out on that as long as i can.

2 days old went for a walk and our dr was completely fine with it.

We went out when she was 4 days old cause I needed medication 🤷‍♀️ probably gonna take this one out asap. Fresh air is good for their little immune systems, you just have to be careful with other people touching them IMO
