Disappointed (don’t know where else to post this)

So I was approved for my own apartment back in April and my move in date was late May . So May rolls around the corner and I pay the prorate for the rest of May . I go to clean up the place before I move my stuff in and before we could even start cleaning we notice a bug we move a little closer to find out it’s a damn roach ! So I go to the rent office to tell them about it they say ok we’ll exterminate. 1st extermination comes and goes and they call me and say they are about to do a heavy extermination that following week . That extermination comes around so I give it like 2 or 3 days before I go check the place out again

By this time it’s the 1st of the month and rent for June is due. I pay the rent for June and as soon as I’m thinking the coast is clear I see yet another roach running around and this one looks as healthy as the last one I first seen ! I go back to the rent office and tell them I want all of my money back because this is an inconvenience and if I would have known they had roaches I would have never settled for the place so right now they are in the process of talking to the owner and all this bullshit I don’t even want the place anymore at this point I just want my money back! I hate bugs I cannot stand any type of rodent or insect it’s disgusting and I do not want me or my kids living in that mess smh it’s a mess and I refuse I just want to call the Health department and I want my money back! I’m so upset and disappointed I thought I was gonna have my first official place on my own

Smh now I have to stay with my grandmother for the time being until I find something else😔 I guess everything happens for a reason
