I hate the newborn phase..

My son is about five weeks old and I cannot wait until he's older. I just hate the monotony of it all and I just can't wait until he can smile and baby talk with me. I can't wait to teach him how to read and his first day of school. Does this make me a bad mom? Am I the only one?
