Has anyone had low hcg levels

So I'm worried, on Thursday 6/6 my levels where at 116. And on Tuesday they were 240, doctor said there to low so she wants to get a sonogram to check if it's an early pregnancy or I'll have a MC or ectopic, is that normal for being g early or has anyone else experienced this
