If your 20 year old daughter lived at home while going to college and she had a boyfriend that she has been with for 5 years, would you allow her to stay the night at his house for one night if they were going to wake up early the next day to do things?

Well considering my child at that point would be a adult and I can only control what happens in my house as I pay no one else bills.I’d say it’s not up to me.and ifsome one is petty enough to kick their child out over something like that then I’d say the kid will eventually get tired of the treatment and not have anything to do with their parent

I moved out when I was 18, but I had friends that stayed at home longer and still had to meet certain rules in their parents household.

My daughter is 14 but I would hope that I’m raising her to being responsible enough to make her own choices by the time she hits 20. I wouldn’t even expect her to ask for “permission”!?!?!  Girl are you serious?  I’d simply want her to inform me when she expects to return home.....I do the same as someone who lives with her; for the sake of safety and courtesy.
