If your kids are just watching YouTube videos and you’re not monitoring what they’re taking in, I think there should definitely be limited but closer to NO screen time. My kiddos have their own children’s tablets for educational games and videos appropriate for their age with parental controls, mostly for when we’re out running errands and can’t sit at home doing school lessons (they’re home schooled).

My son just turned 3 the beginning of June. I got him a tablet for Christmas so he’s had it for almost 6 months. (The tablet only has educational things on it) He has learned almost EVERY single tractor , named. So when we go down the road and we see a tractor working , I ask him what the name of it .. and he tells me.
I voted depends. I feel like if the kids start getting to the point of DEMANDING screen time , then yes. They should definitely have it limited. But I will sit with my son and play on his tablet with him and teach him different things.
But he also doesn’t play on it all day long. I take it away and he will play with his toys in his room. He will go outside and play. He doesn’t other things. Kids shouldn’t depend on a tablet/screen time though. They definitely need to be kids and learn other ways too.

I’m 14 so im not a parent, but I just think: 
If you and ur husband (or wife) need a break and screentime gets them distracted u deserve a break! My parents do so much for me driving me everywhere... when I’m watching tv they get to do their own stuff. Just my opinion I’m not qualified when it comes to parenting obviously

I’ve seen toddlers who are just glued to their tablet watching YouTube videos 24/7 and the parents don’t care because as long as they’re not bothering them lmao. 🙄 It can’t be good for kids imo.

My cousin knew how to use Snapchat before she learned to talk 🙄(seriously she swiped the screen for filters and everything) and she was under 2 years old. 
Makes me upset to see people shoving phones in front of their kids faces to keep them busy. I would only ever have screen time on devices meant for children as some of the other mothers on here have mentioned.
