My baby is 8 1/2 months old. He typically wakes up between 4 am to 5am for milk and for about a week I've been attempting to ween him off the bottle. I reduced an oz every night but when we got down to just 2 oz a few nights ago he started throwing a tantrum. I offered him water but he's unsatisfied with it. For the past few nights he will scream and scream for more milk...should I just let him cry it out or what?

I feed him a lot during the day and give him a big bottle before bed.
