Why is Father's Day less appreciated than Mother's Day?

Ki

By the time mother's day rolls around, the tv shows like 7 different commercials about it. When it comes to father's day, you'd be lucky to get 2

Idk if it's just a thing where I'm from, but I think dads should be given way more credit for everything they do and I can definitely say my dad's done a hell of a lot more than my mom has. My dad helped me overcome self harm in middle school and has always been supportive of everything. He mentions my grades if they drop a little bit and he's constantly encouraging me. My mom doesn't show up to anything celebrated at school and she completely flipped out and was an asshole when i said 3 years ago that I liked a girl. I know I'm not the only one who thinks father's day should gain WAY more recognition
