How to tell your BFF that you have a BFP?

Not sure where to post this...

My friend and I have both been actively TTC and have continued to update each other in every moment of our TTC... well I finally got my BFP but she’s about to undergo some <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">fertility treatment</a> and am just not sure how to handle it. Should I tell her after, do I wait the 12 weeks? Is text better so she can process on her own?

I went through the exact same thing. My bestie is starting fertility testing and that whole rigmarole. We started trying at the same time and I got pregnant after 4 cycles. We talked about EVERYTHING  basically daily! So when I got my BFP, I told her right away. A good friend wont be upset for your happiness.  Yes I was worried and felt 'bad' that it happened for me and shes still trying. But she was so ecstatic and glad I told her. Keeping that secret from your best friend is, I think, worse than letting her process it right away.

If it were me I don’t think I could handle it in person, I’d be so happy for my friend but I would want time to process the news on my own.

Difficult choice. When my mom was TTC me it took two years and her BFF was pregnant and didn’t know how to tell her because my mon use to cry a lot everytime AF came. It will be hard but I’m sure your BFF will be happy for you and who knows? maybe it is contagious!!

If you are comfortable sharing your news with her before the 12 weeks I would, just because you have been open about ttc and you will most likley have to pretend you are still trying which may cause issues when you do tell her. She will probably be very happy for you and sad for herself. Just be sensitive about her feelings and ask her if she needs time or space to process.

This is a tough one. So far people have told me in person... people I’m close to anyways. I would tell her in person because if you guys have been doing it together in a way you’ll be able to be there to comfort her. It will be hard for her to process Im sure. 
Being happy for you but sad for herself and not knowing which one to lean towards as both feelings are strong. 
You just have to understand you probably might not get the reaction you’re hoping for and try to understand her feelings. Something to keep in mind while telling her.
