Again???

Question

My baby is 2 and a half months old and I think I may be pregnant again. Still no period and I've been having cramps for over a week now. Normally I only get cramps for 3 days before my period so not sure what going on! Not ready for another yet!

Answer

1) take a test. 
2) get on birth control or find a form you guys like to help prevent pregnancy. 
3) cramping is very normal PP. specially if you are breastfeeding. Also your first PP period is the worst period you could ever imagine. It’s crazy heavy, cramps SUCK, and everything you know about “your typical” period goes out the door. It’s hard to explain but it’s a scary period.
We are incredibly fertile after giving birth so it is a possibility if you are having unprotected sex; even without your first PP period.

Take a test but if you are using protection high chance you are fine. That being said you should get rid of “my normal” periods, anything prior to your child is no longer normal. After a kid our hormones change which change our period so there will be a new normal you will have to learn. I miss my old normal, every 28 days, no symptoms, 3 day period. After my son, crazy bad cramps for two days, 31-35 day cycle, and last for 7 days. I’m pregnant again and not ready for things to change again.

Some people don’t get their period back for awhile so it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant. If you’re breastfeeding that can also affect your period

If you’re having protected sex then I wouldn’t worry too much. Periods postpartum most likely won’t be the same as before. They can be irregular for awhile.
