Why would the cost of my medication drop?

Last time I picked up my prescription from my pharmacy, I paid $23 and this time, it's only $16.

Could be a number of things
- you have gotten closer to paying off a deductible
- your medication changed tiers
- the cash price from the pharmacy is less than what your insurance would typically charge for generics
- the cost billed to your insurance by the pharmacy is less if you pay a coinsurance instead of a set "copay"
