3 years ttc, first IUI Wednesday.

Casi

Hello, as the title says I am going for my first IUI on Wednesday. My TTC journey started three years ago. I got pregnant June 2018, unfortunately the pregnancy ended in miscarriage. My husband and I decided to go to a fertility clinic about 3 months ago. Because of my age, I expressed to my fertility doctor on my first visit that I did not want to waste any time. I did bloodwork, my husband and I both did genetic screening which came back normal. My husband had one SA at a urologist after my mc which came back at 9 million (the urologist did not seem concerned). This cycle my doctor put me on letrozole 7.5 mg for 5 days, and had my husband do a SA for their office as well. The doctor called me after my husband gave the specimen sample, and said that my husband’s count came back at 5 million (I was shocked, and a little upset) he said in the interest of not wasting time that he recommends going straight for IUI instead of timed intercourse as we had originally planned. I went in this morning for monitoring, I had one egg that measured 21 mm on my right side, and two on the left side that measured 16mm each. I did more bloodwork, and went home and waited for their call. The nurse called at 2 PM and said that I should come in at 6 AM this Wednesday morning for my IUI. I’m a rollercoaster of emotions, I’m excited but also very nervous as I’m not very sure what to expect. What I would appreciate is any advice on what to do the day of the procedure and afterwards. I am going into this hopeful but I don’t want to have any expectations either, this has been a long journey, I am excited to move on to the next step, and just trying to remain calm, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
