Yes! Most clothing is sprayed with chemicals that stop them from getting wrinkled and dyes plus having worked in a clothing store, clothes get pretty dirty...being dropped on the floor, dust, handling etc :)

New clothes are so covered in chemicals. My adult skin gets rashy if I wear new clothes without washing them, babies skin is so much more sensitive, it could really hurt them if you don’t.
Also, you have no idea what kind of disgusting people have touched them in store. I once saw someone shove their hand down their pants, have a good scratch then pull it out and straight away start touching things.

Wash everything. Including your own new clothes.
Only scenario I don't wash new clothes if it's an "emergency" like I ruined my pants at work or my top was full of marmelade while at work and I couldn't go home to change.
