Expressing colostrum to bring on labor?

Does this actually and has anyone got any advice like is it just a once a day thing or just constantly for it to be effective

I’m no expert but shouldn’t you save that for baby when it’s born? So he can breastfeed straight away? I mean you can keep it and take it to the hospital but that would be a lot of effort and does it keep well? I really wouldn’t

I was advised to do this by my midwives from 37 weeks. Just once a day I had to try hand expressing. I was being induced at 39 weeks due to GD anyway so would’ve been fine for me to go into labour myself (I didn’t haha). I also had skin grafts as a kid on my boobs and lost a nipple so they wanted to me try build up a supply for when baby arrived. They told me not to use a breast pump though as that has a higher chance of putting me into full blown labour so there’s a hint? I wouldn’t do it without discussing with your health care professional first though 😊 good luck!
