I am 4 months postpartum and will be starting a new job in a week. At my current job I pump 3 times a day and will need to do the same at my new position. Before i accepted my new offer the recruiter assured me every office has a lactation room. Should I still email my direct supervisor and ask and give him a heads up that I will need a lactation room? If so what should I say? Or would you just show up the first day and ask politely where it is when you need to use it? I feel so awkward on this esp since my current supervisor is a female and has been so understanding and I’m not sure how my new one will be since he is a man.
