Pros and cons as a hostess?

I’m applying for a new job (part time) while I’m in school. Has anyone worked as a host? If so do you like it? Pros and cons?

I agree with Renee you’ll make a lot more a server... but for a hostess pros are you don’t deal with a lot of the drama and stress servers due. Cons you make less money

Can you be a server? You’ll make more. I did that all through college and even for the first year of my career. Completely supported myself on it, and loved it.

It’s just that being a server. I have to deal with rude customers and the stress. If they order is wrong and etc.. Especially when it gets crazy around after work hours and holidays.
