Not supposed to Lay on your back ?

I was told after you get so Far along Youre not supposed to Lay down on your back ?? Is this True and when should you stop Lying on uour back ??

Once you reach the middle or end of your second trimester! Your uterus becomes heavy and can cause it too lay on the circulation vessel for your baby. I don't remember what it's called, but i just had this talk with my doctor a couple of days ago!

That's correct. Laying on your back later in pregnancy is not recommended. It can lessen blood flow to your baby. I wake up on my back sometimes and it's hard to prevent but I try to lay and sleep only on my sides.

I'm 24 weeks and lay on my back all the time & my little man is perfectly fine.

I'm 32 weeks and I still sleep on my back ( not on purpose) but I just always end up like that baby is fine I'm fine I'm sure if blood was cut off my legs would be numb/tingly but they haven't so far

This is a great question for your doctor.  I think generally it becomes uncomfortable to lay on your back before any harm can be caused.

YES! I had heard this too but didn't know why. I quickly found out at my last ultrasound. the tech kept checking on me, asking if I was feeling okay, which I thought was weird. then all of a sudden I broke out into a cold sweat and my vision started going black. I had to sit up immediately to prevent from passing out. she conducted the rest of the ultrasound with me laying on my left side. 
now I freak out every night and wake myself up constantly to make sure I'm not on my back.

With my twins I could not lay on my back because the babies would compress that nerve and it would instantly make me pass out. With my singleton I never had that problem.

There's a nerve in your spine you don't want too much pressure on...That's what my nurse said. She was old school though. Like 65+yrs old. She also said laying on your right side helps with gas if you have a problem with digestion and stuff.
