Hi there, my hubby and I have a wonderful 3 yo and have started trying for number 2. I was on Yaz and ortho lo for a few years before I had my first, and then after he was born I went with the mirena which I had for almost 3 years. I got the mirena out in June of this year, and we've been trying since. I know we haven't been trying nearly as long as some people, so I feel bad being frustrated, since I know this could be a long journey. My period seems to have regulated almost immediately, which was great! The first month I didn't use any opk's or chart my temp. After my first AF post mirena, I started using an opk (those little test strips), which I found hard to read. I thought maybe there was one day that they gave me a positive result, but I wasn't 100% sure. After the next AF I stated using Clear Blue digital. I have yet to get a smiley face telling me I'm ovulating (side note: does anyone else find it ironic that the symbol for not ovulating is just an empty circle??). I'm 30. I've never really been diagnosed with any type of disorder (pcos, endo, etc) except pmdd. When should I go to my doctor to have them check me out?
