Baby celebration

So, this time around we are not finding out gender until birth. I would like to celebrate baby just like we celebrated our son. Trying to decide if we should have a sprinkle before baby, or wait and have a gathering after baby is about a month or 2 old. I will be recovering from a csection, so not sure I want one right after birth. Plus baby will be here December 23 so not a great time for a celebration before either. No idea what to do, or if I should just scratch the idea all together. Anyone have any ideas?
