Shoutout to Planned Parenthood 🙌🏽

Th

I’m a 35yo woman pregnant with my second child - happily married and a scheduled pregnancy.

I woke up one Friday morning around 10 weeks and felt my pregnancy symptoms had completely disappeared! I freaked out and went to my GP that morning. When the GP couldn’t detect a heartbeat on fetal doppler, I really got worried.

After several calls with my OB, they couldn’t see me - UCSF is popular and often booked full. They told me to go to the ER if I had bleeding, but other than that they couldn’t schedule an ultrasound for weeks.

Out of options, I called Planned Parenthood and they saw me for an ultrasound the next day - on a Saturday! The appointment was easy, on time, and the waiting room was full of people (men and women) getting quality care. If you think PP is just for teenagers, low income, or abortions - think again. The care options they provide with public funding are so impactful to folks from all walks of life.
