How far along is my baby?

I just had an ultrasound done in the ER last night and they said I couldn’t be more than 4 weeks along gestational wise. They couldn’t see anything but a sac and yolk. However, my last period was May 8th and I’m pretty positive I ovulated around May 21st. So shouldn’t I be a little over 6 weeks gestational and 3 weeks conceptual? This is my first pregnancy and I’m a little confused.

You probably ovulated later than you thought and/or implanted later.  This is fairly common. Menstrual cycles are variable so it isn't always accurate.  If there is a discrepancy,  your doctor will change your due date and gestational age to match the ultrasound.

You go by the first day of your last period but you will want to go by what they’re telling you the ultrasound is more accurate

See your OB. ER ultrasound techs are not specialized in OB. If you can see the gestational and yolk sac you should be around 5w.
