I always see people talking about how uncomfortable they are. I swear.. I didn’t get one! I feel like I’m the only one who didn’t 😅

They did it after my csection to get the muscles to go back into place and help the uterus reduce in size. Hurt like a MOFO.

Yes both nurses and the doctor did it a few times with my first in the hospital. Honestly to me it hardly hurt after the hell of a labor I had. I’m not sure if my midwives do it at all as I’m delivering at a freestanding birth center this time.

I hated the nurses doing it. They’re so rough. 
When you breastfeed (if you chose to do that), the uterus contracts so I started massaging it myself every time I nursed or even just when I was bored lol. I told the nurses and they were surprised how much my uterus was shrinking down and stopped doing it for me. So that was nice lol.

I wanna know what kind of doctors people have if 19% said no. Is it not common after a c-section or something?

Mine wasn’t hard they just pushed on my lower uterus right above my c section. It last like 5 seconds.
