Do long cycles affect est due date?

Question

My avg cycle days is 38 days. Should I still start my count depending on my LMP? I feel this may estimate me further along than I really am since I ovulate later. 
Any thoughts? 🤷‍♀️
My first ultrasound isn't until July 19th, but according to my LMP, I'm 5 weeks & 6 days as of now.

I have a normal(well normal for me)  34-36 day cycle my ob always goes by my lmp at least until the dating scan which for me as still always lined up with LMP within like a 4 day difference which he said wasnt enough to change due date.. hope that helps

My cycle averages 31-33 days. By my LMP my due date was 12/16, but they adjusted it to 12/11 at my dating ultrasound. So only a few days off.

I last few cycles have been 34 days and I’m wondering the same thing. By LMP I’m 5+4, but factoring in a late ovulation I’m less than that. I’m seeing my doctor tomorrow and hoping they’ll do a scan and we’ll know a little better how far I am. If I’m really 5+4, there should be at least a sac, but if I’m not, there might not be anything! 
With my first two they went strictly off of LMP and both were born “late.” In my experience, unless baby is measuring more than two weeks different than what your LMP says you should be, they won’t change your due date.

If you ovulated later, they may adjust it.  I have short cycles and ovulated early, so by my first ultrasound and ovulation date, I’m due October 9. By LMP I was due October 13.

I have a 30 day cycle and my dating ultrasounds are always 2 days off. They don’t change my due date though.  I did got late with my first two (over 41 weeks) and I expect I will with #3. My mom has a longer cycle and we were all a week late too.  So while they may not actually change your due date I do think it does affect when you actually go into labor.  Longer cycle=more likely to go “late” (but really you just probably ovulated later than the 28 day cycle “norm”)
