Contacts during labor?

I was reading my pregnancy book and they mentioned that you can't wear contacts during labor. Is this true? I don't like wearing my glasses-I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this?

Why is that? Ive worn them through both my births...

Some mothers pop vessels in they eyes while
Pushing and also can develop dryness and swelling. It's best to wear glasses before having baby. I switched to my contacts after I had my son and took a good nap.

You can wear contacts they just kind of adivce you not to because they can dry out and or irritated you during labor.
