We decided to do delayed chord clamping instead (when you do.that you cant do.blood banking). We looked into some medical journals and they can't even pinpoint why they still cut the chord right away (if there's no emergencies) and having the baby get that remaining blood is so beneficial!!

We just signed up for it. CBR is having a promo right now- both cord blood and tissue for initial payment of 1820 and then 350 every year on baby’s birthday. It is expensive, but with the advances in medicine these days, felt like a good decision we made for the bubba.

Unless you have a genetic history of some of the diseases it isn’t usually worth it. It’s only approved in the use of certain diseases, it isn’t a cure all. If you have money then it may be worth it but if you are cutting back on something in order to pay for the banking I’d really reconsider.

Thought about it my friend did and they apparently charge her storage fees every year on top of initial fees that weren’t disclosed. I’m donating mine.
