Is college for me..
I got accepted into Texas A&M & being that I’m a DACA recipient, I have no financial aid or support from anyone/anything besides scholarships & out of pocket money. The only scholarship I’ve received is for $1,200 which distributes, meaning that I get $600 in the Fall & $600 in the Spring. For private loans, i need a co-signer- which I have no one. I don’t want to start at a community college because it’d take longer. Besides, I plan on taking summer classes at a community college anyway. My bf, who’s in the military, offered to help, but I don’t want to make any big financial commitments with him until we’re SERIOUS. I mean moving in together and everything, just in case anything goes wrong. I want to be a bilingual teacher. I applied for scholarships throughout high school & worked my ass off volunteering in the community, studying to pass my AP tests, which I did & working 2 jobs, one as a sales associate, another in a school district with HR. It just feels like with taking one step forward, I take 1,000 steps back. I feel discouraged and defeated..
