Mastitis I don’t get it

So I started getting mastitis Tuesday. Felt a horrible pain in my under boob which baffled me because my boobs had been pretty light and soft the past couple days. I toughed out the fever, chills, pain and tried everything to get rid of it (I had it twice with my first and breastfed for a year+). On Thursday morning I was still with slight fever, pain and hardness under my breast that was still tender. I figured I need to go in at this point. They gave me keflex. I was hand expressing pushing on the lump up until Thursday when I caved and started pumping that one boob cause I thought it would help get rid of the lump. Yesterday I fed baby on the right and I pumped my left. Well it hasn’t quite gone away and its Sunday. All last night I was engorged and woke up with a hard balloon of a boob. I hate that now that boob is over producing tons of milk compared to my other when it still is tender and feels like there’s still a lump (and I’m getting more lumps from being engorged). I’m not sure if the mastitis is cleared or if it should take this long. breastfeeding is such a roller coaster and really hard sometimes! I get why people give up...but I’m not one of them 🤱🏻
