Nausea once, nausea always?

Question

Anyone ever experienced severe nausea with one pregnancy and mild to none with another? Was there a correlation with gender?

1st child - 20 years ago, daughter. Nauseous for the entire 9 months, threw up for 6.

2nd pregnancy - 26 weeks now, boy. Nauseous evry day, only threw up once but was totally my fault,  I took meds and prenatal at same time.

My mom had horrible nausea and vomiting with my brother and mild nausea and maybe one episode of vomiting with me and my sis. I had mild nausea and one episode of vomiting so far (in 13+1) so hoping that means girl! Lol hubby is hoping for a boy though! We shall see!
