So I’ve self diagnosed myself with Thalassophobia (fear of the ocean and what lies beneath the surface of the ocean). I am not necessarily afraid of the ocean itself per se- I LOVE the beach and will go into the ocean waist deep, and have been out on a boat in the ocean several times (even though I get seasick every single time lol). However, I am absolutely TERRIFIED of the “unknown” in deep, dark water. What you can’t see that could be out there lurking beneath the water is absolutely my worst fear 😱😵
