Any advice on how to prepare dogs for baby?

I have two French bulldogs that are both a year old. Both very hyper and don’t listen very well. I’m extremely nervous about taking the baby home to them this week. Do you guys have any advice?

I have a 1 year old boxer. He turned 1 a month after we brought our son home from the hospital. Boxers are also VERY crazy and rambunctious. What we did is when we got home we got them settled down and chilled out, and then I held my son, and I had another adult attaches to a leash on my pup, not pulling him but in a position he could be pulled back if need be. We let him smell the baby and calmed him if he got excited. We kept him away from baby for a couple of days aside from these interactions, and gave him blankets that smelt like baby in between. He’s now so sweet with our son it’s funny. He’s so calm when near him, and so lovey with him.

Have someone take them a balnket/hat/onsie that smells like baby. Greet them outside and try to give them some attention too. Make sure they've checked out all the things you have for baby so it's not new and interesting.

Sounds like they need some basic obedience training. And they need more exercise and stimulation if they are hyper all the time. A tired dog is a calm, happy dog. Mental and physical stimulation are a very important part of a dogs day.
