BH contractions?

Question

How long do Braxton hicks contractions typically last? Not the actual contraction but the duration in general.  I'm a FTM at 28w3d. I have been having  period like cramps since yesterday afternoon. Nothing I do seems to ease them. I've had no other issues so I assume it's BH. [ see my OB on Wednesday.

I get many Braxton Hicks contractions daily but they never feel like period cramps.

I was just looking this up this morning. Braxton Hicks don’t hurt. It like tightens your whole stomach up. You can’t control it but I find when I roll over/change my position/drink more water it goes away. I only get them early morning before waking up because I think I start to get dehydrated from not drinking as much at night. Contractions apparently are painful and cannot be stopped with changing your position or drinking. I would call your doctor and ask them their thoughts. This doesn’t sound like Braxton Hicks to me though.
