Period? Or something else?

I’ve had my nexplanon implant for a whole year now and for the most part i stopped having my period. I’d get random super super light/pink spotting that didn’t last more than two days but that’s it.

Today I had very red blood clots but I’m not bleeding anything onto my pads. Only when I wipe is there this mucus like blood. At first I thought maybe it was bc I recently had sex for the first time in a while but still not sure how that could cause bleeding?

I guess I’m just wondering if this is normal for someone who hasn’t had their period due to the implant to just randomly have blood. Or if this happens to anyone else?

I’m making an appointment with my obgyn just incase too
