Urgent help please, what would you do? Please read below

I've been feeling very tired so had blood test and vit D came back low, 33ng/ml. Whilst pregnant it was 53 and last month 43. Normal range 50 and above.I am taking prenatals religiously and exclusively breastfeeding baby born on new years day. Doc won't give extra dose as breastfeeding. It's 6 weeks dose, should I pump and dump for the time and give formula? I feel guilty please help

I'm confused because that level is normal? I don't see any reason to stop breastfeeding.

Don’t feel guilty about it! I started giving my daughter formula at 6 weeks old to help her sleep through the night, and pumping at that time to make a freezer stash. At about 3 months I lost my milk, and I had a really hard time stopping even though I was sooo drained from trying to get my milk back up. Crazy enough I didn’t even enjoy breastfeeding in the first place so I was miserable. My doctor told me the first 6 weeks have the most health benefits for baby to be on breast milk. And I felt really good that I froze enough that she still had one breast milk bottle until about 7 months. ☺️
Personally, if it’s affecting your health, and you can afford formula, I would go that route. But everyone is different and there’s no wrong choice.

Keep taking your prenatals, and extra vitamin D. Baby should get D-vitamin drops regardless of your levels, normally starting around 4weeks old.

Vitamin d comes from the sun not food. People think food gives it to you but it’s not even remotely the same. Go outside some more and keep breastfeeding

I have decided to take the higher dose prescribed by the doctor and breastfeed her once or twice a day, give her formula and frozen milk I already have.Leave out the vitamin D for her whilst I finish the dose.I can pump and freeze the milk and give it once a day later and I am sure it won't do much harm. What do you guys think?
