Paragard and period

I’ve been on the paragard IUD for a about three months now because I didn’t want hormones. I knew it would make my periods heavier and more painful but they’ve also started to last twice as long. This period was 12 days and the one before that was 13. It’s making me pass out and get migraines losing so much blood but my OBGYN isn’t concerned with it and says to take iron and eat iron rich foods. Should I just switch IUDs because I want another kid in less than 10 years or should I do birth control pills?
