C-section?

Question

Any plus size mommas have experience with c-section? Baby girl is breach, still time for her to flip but kind of preparing myself for her not to. 
I’ve heard a lot of horror stories from plus size women, hoping to find more positive experiences. 😂 thank you!

I had a c section 6.5 weeks ago and it went extremely well. It was unplanned due to getting stuck at 6cm (my girl just did not want to enter my pelvis) so they topped up my epidural and did it. 
I have a pretty big belly, some hang-over (apron) so in discussion with the OB we decided to do the incision about 1.5-2 inches below my belly button (rather than right above my pubic bone) to help with recovery. I think one of biggest issues plus size women have is infection in that area/the incision doesn’t heal well because the usual incision location is always moist, isn’t flat for bandages etc. I’m SO happy mine went higher. It healed in about 5 days. 
I had some minor issues in surgery (my BP dropped when they upped the epidural- this is common and they are prepared for this. And I needed a med to make my uterus contract once baby was out and that caused severe but very short term nausea). 
My incision location was also great because it isn’t in a location where you bend from so getting in and out of bed, caring for baby etc was made much easier. 
I’m happy to answer any other specific questions you might have but I’m honestly so happy with how it went given the circumstances.

I'm about to have my second one in 42 days. My first wasn't to bad. Of course it will be painful but nothing you can't handle

My daughter was breech and I had a section. My surgery went well considering I was petrified. First two days was the worst. Get up as soon as you can feel your legs again. Make sure to follow doctors orders and not to life anything heavier than the baby until released to do so.
