Just curious on what causes the bleeding is it from tearing or just having a baby in general?

Also, you bleed wether you give birth vaginally or via csection.  
It’s just like a heavy period and happens to every woman who has a baby, even a miscarriage.

Oh honey. Everyone bleeds regardless of how your baby comes into this world. And you will bleed for several weeks after. With each birth I bled for at least 4 weeks. Plus spotted for another couple of weeks. There is nothing wrong, remember it takes 9 months to create and grow a whole human being and your body takes time to heal.

After you give birth you shed your uterine lining in a similar way to a period I believe? So there's that and sometimes you might tear and bleed from that a bit. But mostly the blood is coming from your uterus :)

You will bleed even if you don't tear. I didnt bleed much my first. Maybe around a week or so

With my 1st I didn't tear, she was born at 1pm was able to get up and pee around 4pm and my pad had a last day like period spot. Didn't bleed after that. Got my first period 5 weeks later. 2nd child didn't tear bled for a day and got period 2 months after.
