When to stop using straw on dr brown bottles

Question

Just curious when some of you stopped using the straw and filter for the dr. Brown's bottles? 
My son is 4 months old he doesn't have colic but I'm tired of washing the bottle part lol

You can’t use the bottle without the blue valves. They will leak all over the place and they’re not meant to be used without it. The green valve bottles are called Dr. brown’s options so those you can use without the valve. If your baby is having no trouble with gas or anything you can take them out whenever and see how they work

We stopped using the straws a lot later, but that was because between my son and I we were NOT good at getting all the burps out. Once he could roll over on his own it wasn’t an issue anymore.

We have twins. Husband washed them in dishwasher with grill grates and ruined all the green parts. Haven't used them since. Twins will be five months in just a few short days and it's been a few weeks without them. Dont even notice a difference.
