Something wrong with my skin??

okay i don’t know if i should be concerned with the patch of skin that has shown up on my face or not??? it appeared about five weeks ago and i was just hoping it’d fade away or something but it never did. it’s a small patch of skin near my temple that’s darker than the rest of my face. it feels rough and looks like a healed scar or something but i literally cannot recall anything that has happened to my skin in that area that could have caused it. please please please if anyone could tell me what that patch of skin is supposed to be and how to get rid of it I’d be so grateful!!
