In laws...

Long story short

My husband is from a different state from me.

We agreed to live in my home state prior to getting married.

Now after 3 years he is battling a mental health issue and wants to move back to his home state - which is fair enough

Now although I don’t want that - I am willing to compromise

But here’s my story

Husband has a mental health issue

Father is battling brain cancer - given 6-9months to live

And I just had my second baby

God is great

Now we are in my husbands home state with my in laws

And whenever I want to go and visit my father I am told I can go but can’t take my eldest son

I feel there is no empathy towards me

As I came here when my son was only a week old (now 4 weeks)

There is definitely a lot of hostility towards me and my family - as my family has tried to intervene to get me home because they’re concerned about my wellbeing.

Am I being manipulated and treated unfairly or am I being a drama queen

What would you do?

Edit:

Dad is at home - not in hospital

So safe to visit

Husband- not in the right mind frame and is truly honestly in his own bubble

And is so afraid I’m gonna take the kids away from him

But I’ve never given him any reason to believe that

And to the ladies saying FU to the in laws - all my love to you ❤️

They also don’t approve of my parenting skills, there’s a lot of things I let my son get away with - he is a child and I prefer to allow him to be a child
