My doc said semen analysis?

My doctor wrote a order for my husband to have a semen analysis today. She said she needed it before she started us on something to make me ovulate since it’s been two years since my last miscarriage and still not pregnant. So this week we go do the semen analysis and then in two weeks we go discuss the results, have a ultrasound done on me, and continue to next step?? Anyone else went through anything similar? Or currently going through this?
