So, my husband sent me to the pet store for dog food, cat food, cat litter. Just stocking up for a while. Before I left, he said “NO MORE ANIMALS”. Do we see where this is going? 😂 So I get to the pet store, and after browsing all the fish, reptiles, rodents... I decided to go with my “cheapest” option and get two feeder mice. I bought all the stuff needed to take care of them properly, half expecting to return everything including the mice, and I sent this picture to my hubby and waited 😈

I got an immediate call from him asking me over and over if I was serious 😂😂😂 and I said yes, told him I spent over $100 in petco (I bought cat food, litter, a tank, bedding, etc. I actually got the mice for $2 a piece at a different pet store because they were younger and more tame)

If flames could have come through the phone 😳😂 I let him rant about how I spend money on dumb things and he went OFF. Eventually I started laughing and told him to calm down because everything including the mice are returnable 😂 he then responds with, “No, it’s fine. I don’t want to send them back knowing their fate” 😂😂😂 he decided his dislike of snakes was greater. So now we are happy owners of two feeder mice that we can’t tell apart and we have no names. I was thinking m&m’s because it’s easy lol but I’m also thinking about getting another and naming them after the power puff girls. Would have to dye with food coloring to tell them apart though haha

On another note, I’m strongly contemplating getting this for their enclosure

He did not care! It was all in light fun, he knows I’ll take care of them. He knows I’m a good pet owner. And he knows he won’t even have to mess with them. I would not get a pet if I was not willing to be responsible for them 100% on my own.
