LH Surge???

Question

How long does it usually last? Is it possible to get a positive opk than later that day get a negative? Did I actually have my surge or what the hell is going on? I’m really wanting this month to be the month. Seems like I’ve been trying forever and it makes me want to give up. Seems like everyone around me gets pregnant so easy and it can be so discouraging. 😩😩

I know how you feel, sometimes waiting for a positive opk is just as agonizing as waiting to take a hpt. Don’t give up, your time will come. As for the lh surge, some people only surge a few hours while others can have a few days of positives before actually ovulating. All you need to take note of is when you get one positive opk. Once the test turns positive, it’s believed you will ovulate within the next 12-36 hours. I don’t know when/how often you test but perhaps you caught the end of your surge and that’s why you got a negative later in the day OR you simply have a shorter surge which doesn’t mean you are more/less fertile. Just bd the next few days once you get your positive. Good luck!
