Did you get blood test to confirm pregnancy?

When you told your doctor your pregnant, did you do any blood tests or anything?
When I told my doctor she said the at home pregnancy tests are accurate no need for blood test or any other test right now. She booked an ultrasound for 7 weeks to determine baby’s due date. 
I live in Canada Ontario. 
I thought for sure I’d get sent for blood tests. What are your experiences?

No. My DR just had confidence that I knew what I was talking about

They typically only do blood testing if you have a history of loss or ectopic pregnancy. Or if you are currently bleeding or experiencing pain.

Yes. They did multiple blood tests and urine tests

With my first child I didn’t have a blood test. With these babies I had to have a blood test as I was only seeing a gyn prior to pregnancy so they had to do a blood test to confirm at the obs office.

I live in Ontario as well and yes I was sent for a blood test to confirm. They also looked at a few other things like if I had immunity for a certain vaccine (can’t remember which one), then she referred me to an OB of my choice. Now I only see the OB until the baby is born.
