Hi ladies I had a butt load of blood work done in January, and I’m getting a bill in full for it and I’m not sure why. I called my insurance company and they said it wasn’t coded as being “diagnostic” so the denied it completely and it’s not going towards my deductible. The bill says the blood work was for tay Sachs.

Is this happening to anyone else? I’m wondering if this is normal or not

I also called my ob office and they are stating it’s coded correctly.

It’s A $500 bill, and not going to my deductible. Ugh.
